Sharna Lamont is Baisie Therapy Services' Founder and Director, a Speech Pathologist with 8 years experience in the speech pathology and allied health sector with a strong passion for rural and remote health care.
Sharna's career began in outback NSW after graduating from Charles Sturt University in 2014. Feeling at home having grown up in a small rural town herself, the experience as a sole clinician sprouted her interests in service models and all aspects of business management enthralled within. Sharna further developed this interest throughout many project management opportunities as she travelled, worked in various roles and grew her clinical skills. Sharna settled with her family in Tamworth in 2020 shortly before founding Baisie in early 2021.
Sharna's interest areas include early language development and play based therapies, school aged language development, supporting transitions to school and supporting families to access and navigate the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Sharna has a special interest in adult voice therapy having worked with degenerative conditions, paralysis of vocal cords and common hyperfunctional voice disorders.
Lisa grew up in Newcastle where she completed her Bachelor of Speech Pathology in 2007 at the University of Newcastle. She began her career in Tamworth and shortly after moved to Narrabri for further career opportunities. The move to a small town, while initially a culture shock, turned into the best decision. Lisa set up a new Speech Pathology position in the Disability sector and serviced not only the local community, but provided outreach services across the North West region. This was very rewarding and she was able to provide services to people with disabilities across the lifespan.
After having two children and spending the majority of the early years as a stay-at-home mum, Lisa returned to Speech Pathology and worked in the Aged Care sector, supporting people at the later stages of live to live the best possible life.
Lisa is currently studying a cert IV in Breastfeeding Counselling with the Australia Breastfeeding Association. Lisa’s is passionate about supporting all people to participate in life. Lisa’s areas of interest include feeding and swallowing across the lifespan, early language and adult disability.
Outside of work Lisa enjoys watching NRL and supporting her beloved Newcastle Knights, cheering on her boys at various sports and spending time with her family and friends.
Kelly began working at Baisie Therapy Services in April 2024 eager to embrace her new roles of Speech Pathologist and Educator – Key Worker. Kelly has a strong passion for supporting both parents and early years educators to build their confidence and skills as children’s first teachers.
Originally from Inverell, Kelly completed her primary teaching degree and taught in NSW rural schools for twenty years. As a specialist literacy teacher, Kelly understood strong oral language and emergent literacy experiences were crucial for later success in the classroom. This led to a new career as an Early Intervention Educator and more recently as a Speech Pathologist, graduating with a Masters of Speech Pathology in 2020. Kelly’s most recent role was Early Childhood Literacy Officer at Tamworth Library, creating and delivering early childhood programs and resources such as Baby Book Time, the CNRL Speech Language Pathology Collection and the Tamworth Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
Kelly's interests include early and school aged language and literacy development, supporting transitions to school and training parents and educators in play-based therapy.
On the weekends, Kelly and her husband Mark can be found walking their three King Charles Cavalier ‘babies’, visiting their adult boys at Newcastle and the Central Coast, attending Parkrun events with an enthusiastic running group, and cheering for the mighty Marinas A League team with their football fanatic family.
Gabby grew up in a small country town in regional NSW before moving to Albury to complete her Bachelors degree in Speech Pathology at Charles Sturt University. She then returned to the area to pursue her passion for delivering services in rural and remote communities. Gabby has been working in Dubbo over the last 5 years, supporting many families and children across the region.
Gabby is passionate about helping children to achieve their individual goals using a family centred approach. Her special interests include fussy eating in young children and multimodal communication.
Outside of work Gabby enjoys spending time outdoors with her young daughter and husband, walking their two Labradors, sitting around the backyard firepit in winter with her family and cooking a camp oven.

Belinda is a mum of 3 grown children who has lived in the Tamworth region for most of her life.
Belinda has a background in education, teaching at a local primary school for the last 10 years. As a Kindergarten teacher Belinda was fully aware of the impact early intervention and supports, particularly in speech and language, had on children entering school. This led to her following her passion and undertaking a Master of Speech Pathology online which she hopes to graduate at the end of 2024.
Belinda began her Baisie journey this year, first working as an Allied Health Assistant before transitioning to the role of Key Worker. Belinda is passionate about early literacy, understanding the foundation of reading and writing is a rich oral language. As a Key Worker Belinda is eager to support families in their early education journey as the child’s first and most important teacher. She is eager to support families by building their capacity to support their child to grow and develop on their own unique path.
During her free time if not studying, Belinda can usually be found on the netball courts playing or watching her daughter or at the hockey fields watching her husband and kids play.
Meg grew up in Gilgandra and moved to Dubbo where she completed her Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood and Primary. During her studies, she was a nanny for 3 children which including supporting a little girl with Cerebral Palsy. Over the course of six years, Meg worked in long daycare services and after school care before moving to Newcastle and transitioning into Primary teaching. In 2018 Meg and her husband moved to Tamworth where they continued to grow their family. Meg is now a mother to 3 beautiful children.
Meg has now joined the Baisie Team, and she tells us “I am so excited. Working as a part of this team allows me to pursue my passion for Early Intervention. My experience in early childhood education and teaching kindergarten has highlighted to me the importance of Early Intervention and using a holistic approach when it comes to meeting the needs of young children and their families”. We are so excited to have you with us too Meg!
Outside of work Meg enjoys getting away in the caravan with her family, going for walks and doing renovations with her husband.
Rhiannon is the newest member of the Baisie family. Rhiannon grew up in Western Sydney and made the move to Tamworth just over two years ago, she enjoys exploring the outdoors, travelling, anything to do with horses and dogs.
Rhiannon has a background in education and has spent the last 9 years as an Early Childhood Educator, supporting many families and children with a broad variety of additional needs and complex learning styles. Rhiannon is passionate about enhancing children’s learning and development, and enjoys extending on her knowledge of Auslan Sign Language as a secondary communication skill.
Rhiannon’s role at Baisie entails providing in-school and home-based therapy sessions to our clients, supporting our Early Intervention Key Workers and Speech Pathologist and completing lots of daily admin tasks!
